The Skyline Project

This is the largest and most recent project I have worked on. I completed this for my final year at University. The skyline project needed to be of a very high standard and my aim in creating the final result was to illustrate the many skills I was able to combine to create an original multimedia artefact.

The Skyline Project is centred on the re-design of an old and unused gas tanker site. To view the promotional 3D Video please click here.

Casablanca

This is a short animated remake of the world famous and classic Casablanca. I worked with a group of four other students to create this film for the major 3D assignment we were required to complete in our final year. All modelling was based on the actual props and scenery in the original. I was responsible for modelling the cafe and airport scenes as well as the props used in these. We replaced all human characters with animals and added some spoof elements in order to cater for a different audience to the original. Although it was a lot of hard work it was great to see the final outcome. I find 3D to be a very skilled and rewarding area of multimedia. There does not seem to be any end to the capabilities of using such a medium in design or aninmation.

Still Scenes

3D modelling allows for the creation of real world scenes too. This is an area in which I would like to further my experience. I am fond of modelling objects and creating the right atmosphere within the scene using inventive ligthing and camera views. In order to create the right effect all these factors come into play. Alot of these were required from us in our initial assignments for the 3D module. Towards the end we were able to produce photo-realistic images and scenes - such as the work I produced for The Skyline Project as mentioned above.
